Background and Aim: Ascites occurs at the rate of 7-10% annually in cirrhotic patients. Within 10 years diagnosis cirrhosis, 70% patients will develop ascites. First-line therapy for with ascites is sodium restriction diuretics. Eventually, up to 11.4% refractory (RA), defined as that cannot be mobilized or early recurrence which (i.e., after paracentesis) satisfactorily. prevented by diuretic therapy.
